Genius Hour

This web site started as an assignment for the class Instructional Technology for Teachers (Fall 2013) as part of my graduate studies at Georgia College & State University

Then the site morphed into two other reasons for being:
  • to be part of a "skill set" for my resume' and to demonstrate to potential employers my passion for teaching & the social sciences; and,
  • as a way to organize my interest in history and the other social sciences, sort of a hobby.
Now, there's a fourth reason:
  • this is my "20% Project," or "Genius Hour" for Instructional Technology for Teachers. My project is the development of a research tool for students’ use in their own Social Studies 20% Project. The site will provide a range of resources covering:

United States History
World History
Georgia Studies
Geography
Civics/American Government
Economics

Types of resources I plan to include:

Books
Web sites
Primary sources
Maps
Historical sites
Tours
Simulations
Oral Histories

Anything else I can come up with

Suggestions welcome

I plan to never finish this site.
